Hi, just bought a ice tea burst 12 string guitar DA Angelo 12 string guitar for less than $600. This thing is beautiful. It plays like a champ right out of the box. I took mine out of the box and played it. The only thing I gotta do is just make the strings lighter gauge. I’m gonna run light gauge strings because a 12 string has a lot of tension on the bridge and also on the neck Light string help. Keep all that tension off of the neck and bridge. I really enjoyed your show 👍😄🎸🎼🎶🎵🎸

So I'm a local weekend warrior gigging in St. John's NL Canada. Recently I sprung for a D18 and had a K&K Pure Mini installed. I hate to say it but I'm disappointed. The high b and e strings are low in the mix. K&K say the fix is installing a 4th transducer and soldering it in. Before the D18 I played a Larrivee for many years with a Headway undersaddle Piezo which I really liked. Anyhow, I guess I'll try the 4th transducer. If that doesn't' work I'm back to square one!

Doing just down strums for me was tougher than using a strumming pattern because it meant I had to be better about keeping the beat or I had to count down strums in addition to everything else. I practiced a strumming pattern until it was almost totally a habit and didn't have to keep count.

Its amazing that companies are allowed to sell guitars that aren't just out of tune but multiple keys out of tune. How could you possibly have QC a guitar if its not even remotely tuned? I just had the little e blow up in my face on first tuning due to a defect that would have got picked up if Yamaha bothered to QC stuff

I have a Guild F50R with the K&K Trinity system, which combines a bridge plate transducer with an internal mike, with a dedicated preamp that lets you blend the signals from the 2 sources. It's not cheap and you need to use the dedicated preamp and a stereo cord to get the full advantage of it, but the sound is pretty impressive.

If you use a razor blade as a scraper, I highly recommend using plastic razor blades. That's what we always used when scraping anything off the gel coat of boats we worked on because it will never gouge or scratch the finish.

I just installed one of these in my D28 and used a 3/32 drill bit with some paste wax on the threads. I drilled perpendicular to the surface of the heal about 3/4 inch from the body and 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of the heel. They are really nice strap buttons. I've had one on my OM for 10 years.
